“L’ambiguità è d’obbligo”, scrive Valerio Dehò nel testo di presentazione di questo libro/multiplo Playstone, “e se la pietra venisse fuori dal bosco, se invece si trattasse di un attacco a chi guarda, o al ‘vedere’ in ogni caso, cioè al principio dell’arte?”.
Il sasso compare come maschera/volto/arma, incarnazione del caos, teste che ci guardano, minacciano la ragione strumentale e applicativa dell’uomo, una ragione che vuole misurare, controllare tutto, distruttiva.
Pietre, sasso, testa, volto sospeso tra la realtà e tutte le sue possibilità, testimone di luoghi dove la natura non è mai domata e l’uomo mai rassegnato.
“Ambiguity is a must”, writes Valerio Dehò in the presentation of this Playstone book/multiple “but what if the stone were to come out of the wood, if it were to be an attack on the spectator, or the “act of seeing” in general, that is the principle of art?”.
The stone looks like a mask/face/weapon, embodiment of chaos, heads that look at us, threating man’s instrumental and applicative reason, a destructive reason which wants to measure, control everything.
Stones, pebble, head, face suspended between reality and all its possibilities, witness of places where nature is never tamed and man is never resigned.
